Grealish has good performance
Jack Grealish performed well against Barcelona, he leveled the goal in the second half.
The performance impressed manager Pep Guardiola, who said: On this he was aggressive.
And I know that in tackling and controlling the ball he is good, however, [tonight] he was scoring goals, he scored four or five goals.
Well that is as it should be he has to prove himself and I thought he played the game nicely. ”
And Grealish added: “I thought the game went well,” the player who started the season at Newcastle United in England, said.
In the press conference the other day, I declared that I want to come here and prove that I am back fit and that I am back playing confidently as I know I should.
“We can possibly perform more like that.” Of course, I would like to score more goals, make more assists and support the team like every player would.
“It’s always nice to make the manager happy so I’ll take that on and from now on, hopefully, I can do that.
The first half was indeed eventful and saw the hosts, Barcelona summer through Pau Victor; however, the visitors, Man City responded through Nico O’Reilly. In first half injury time, Pablo Torre’s goal helped Barcelona to extend their lead 2-1 over City and before the game was over, city’s Jack Grealish’s goal equalised in the 60th minute.
During the shoot-out after the game, Barcelona’s goalkeeper Astralaga denied City’s Phillips’ in the first kick and Wright in the second kick.
Lewandowski, Darvich, and Balde delighted the crowd by scoring for Barca while City only scored one and Fernandez used the opportunity and scored the winning goal.
Fernandez was only making his debut and was one of the several Barca youths to feature – this was only two weeks after the 16-year-old signed his first professional contract.
Penalties was not the first drama of the game though as the kick off was literally got halted due to a storm.
